Elephant Island
This Image is taken from the Polar expedition Endurance where the ship Endurance became stranded on the ice before it ever reached its destination. The ship was eventually crushed by the ice and the crew had to escape the ice and find land. The first land they reached was Elephant Island and it offered little protection from the elements.
