It also provides a range of opportunities to explore the story behind an object. Show and tell activities can benefit from structure being applied to the description of the object.
Ideas to consider
- What happens when you ask a child to tell a story based on the object they have brought into school?
- Can they tell a true story about the object?
- Can they create a story about the object? How will structuring their narrative help them achieve this?
